Chinese New Year, which is also called the Spring Festival ( 节 日 ), is the most important festival in China. The holiday begins on the first day of the new cycle (循环) of the moon, which occurs in late January or early February. The celebration will last 2 weeks.
In the week before the New Year, families clean their houses in order to sweep away all the bad lucks.
